Part of The Handmaid's Tale · 4 / 4
Maioria
After Margaret Atwood's The Handmaid's Tale: conformity that spreads with no one giving the order. In a majority-rule cellular automaton every cell becomes whatever most of its neighbours are, so red takes over on its own. A few cells never convert and weigh on the cells around them, keeping small white islands open. Then the pressure lifts in a wave from those cells and the vote runs again.
