Azulejaria
After Athos Bulcão, who let the workers laying his tiles in Brasília choose each one's turn on the wall. Here the wall keeps being re-laid: four waves cross a glazed blue-and-white panel (a diagonal sweep, a scatter, a ripple, a snake) and every tile they touch lifts and turns a quarter, until each has made a full turn and the first panel returns. Crackle, pooled glaze and chipped edges; the light stays put while the tiles turn under it.
